my files disappeared .

Hello, 

i had a simple dropbox account which i use for some folders. i was running out of space but then i saw a promotion made by my bank N26 about giving me extra 27G. So i went for it. Logged in and now i realise that all of my previous folders are not there anymore.

Any idea how i can recover them? and why were they deleted?

Hi @taniagi; welcome to our Community and sorry to hear about your missing files. 

It sounds like you applied the promotional space to another account, associated with a different email address. 

To confirm if that's the case, can you check your account's events page to see if you can find any deletions logged there?

I was able to check  the Events and noticed every one of my files was deleted from my account, but not by me. how do i undo this?

Hi @MacAwesome; thanks for joining our discussion here.

Assuming that those deletions took place within your account's recovery window, you should be able to restore them normally.

Did you try to restore those files from your deleted files page or the events page?

The issue is the events took more than the basic 30 days ago. I, however, was not the one who deleted the files, and I had no knowledge of it being done until now.
