restore file, not sure when deleted

restore file, not sure when deleted

New member | Level 2

Hello, I have a free Dropbox account and I'm trying to find some files that I probably deleted.

I'm not sure when I (probably) deleted it, but I'm also not sure whether it was stored on Dropbox or not.

Is there a way to know whether they were stored in Dropbox or not? Also, if I upgrade my Dropbox account, will I have more information about my files history?

Dropboxer

Hi there @guerreirol, I'd be happy to help look into this with you.

You can find an overview of activity and changes that occurred to content in your account, such as additions and deletions, in your events page.

The main difference that some subscriptions have is their version history, where you can restore a deleted file or a previous version of it within the last:

  • 30 days, if you're on a Dropbox Basic, Plus, or Family accounts.
  • 180 days, if you have a Dropbox Professional or Business plan.

I do want to help you find the file though, in case you did upload it to your Dropbox account.

Could you let me know what your events page does show?

Looking forward to hearing back from you!
