Just installed Dropbox on two new laptops, while setting one up, I noticed MY SECRET FILE of passwords saved on desktop from my master laptop on the list of recents files in Dropbox for all to see???
Hi there @11523; welcome to our Community!
Are you perhaps referring to a notification on your desktop app in the 'Recents' tab?
Just to make sure we're on the same page here, can you please send me a screenshot of how this looks like?
Any additional information is more than welcome!

Yes in my recent tab see photo
From the other computers with dropbox, i see my notes in their list?
If you copied or moved this file into your Dropbox folder on your computer or if it's being backed up using the computer backup feature, then it's expected to see it in the Recents tab of the desktop app on every computer you've linked to your account @11523.
Let me know if this helped!

I would never and didn't copy or move that file to Dropbox folder. How do I get it to quit showing on other computers? Is there a Dropbox back up feature that shows it for all to see?? Can the Recents tab feature be turned off? How can a file on Desktop automatically show in dropbox that was never put there?

You have the computer backup feature enabled.
okay GREAT, I changed that back up setting to off. THANKS. Now how do I get the files already on the recent tab list off/removed. Can't find a delete function for this?

I don't believe that's possible. They should fall off the list after some time. I think the list shows up to the last seven days. Mine is only showing four days, but there are a lot of files listed.
Okay that makes sense, thank you very much and Happy Thanksgiving!
