Hey there @Maureen K.1 - sorry to hear that.

To access your selective sync settings:

  1. Make sure you’re using the Dropbox app on your computer. You won’t see a selective sync option from dropbox.com.
  2. Click the Dropbox icon from the row of icons on your computer’s desktop.
  3. Click the gear icon.
  4. Select Preferences… from the menu.
  5. Click Sync.
  6. Click Selective Sync…  and choose folders to sync (Mac).
  7. On the left-hand side, uncheck the boxes of any folders that you don't need on your computer's hard drive. They’ll still be available in your account on dropbox.com.
    • Note: Any folders with a green check are currently downloaded on your computer.
  8. When you're done, select Update.

If you're not seeing this, could you let me know the exact status of the app as shown on the affected computer?

Spoiler

You can always look at the Dropbox icon in your menu bar see if it is done syncing. When Dropbox is fully synced then you should see a tick followed by the words “Up to date” on the menu.

If you do not see this then can you please let me know what the message being displayed reads?

Thanks!
