symlink backup copy folder

symlink backup copy folder

I recently added a new computer to dropbox.

On this computer I am getting several folders duplicated with name (symlink backup copy). I delete them but they come straight back. Clearly they are old folders from a previous incarnation of this pc with the same name.

How do I delete them?

Refer to the following help article and look for the Why does my folder say “Symlink Backup Copy”? section.

That's not how things work. Dropbox doesn't sync files based on the computer name. The files are syncing because they're in your account.

If you're deleting them on the computer and they keep returning, try deleting them through the Dropbox website.
