uploading to a Shared

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

My company has a drop box account and has shared the folder with me so that I can upload files to that folder.

I personally only have the free account for my personal use.

When I try to upload to the company shared folder it limits me to only the amount of space I have on my account.

How do I upload to the comapny folder without it comingling with my account??

Hello gmjeric

Thanks for reaching out here in the community.  I would suggest that you asked them to send you a file request.  Help Center info: https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/share/create-file-request

Or you can send them a link to a folder holding all the files you want to send https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/share/share-file-or-folder

if this works and it was a solution, please click on Accept as Solution.  Also clicking on Likes would be super.  Thanks!

I would put them in a folder, then create a link to that folder and send that link to whoever needs the files

I hope this helps

Hi @gmjeric, thanks for posting on the Community!

As @Chris_J said, you can share files to them via a shared link.

Continuing from what he said, if you have too many files to share, and it would fill your quota immediately, you could ask them for them to create a file request to send it to them.

You can attach multiple files in a file request, so there shouldn’t be any issue there.

Hope this helps clarify matters!
