Add more time options to Pause Syncing dropdown menu

Add more time options to Pause Syncing dropdown menu

I would LOVE the option to pause for 4 or 8 hours or to be able to set the a specific time to resume syncing.

I use processor intensive applications on my computer during most of my work day. Dropbox syncing slows down my computer to the point that I often have to pause syncing in order to continue working. With only two options—30 minutes and 1 hour pause times—I have to keep actively selecting Pause Syncing every hour throughout the day. I don't, however, want to stop syncing till the next day because then I risk not having files backed up for several hours after the work day ends.

Any chance that this will be updated any time soon?

Many thanks,
Julie

On the syncing app, I would prefer it if there could be a pause button longer than one hour, but shorter than the next day. I would prefer (myself) if the "half hour" pause could be one hour, then the one hour pause could be three hours instead!
I've realized that, when I work hard and productively, and I focus, then actually I don't need my changes to be synced as often as one hour.

When I work, I save my files regularly. I also edit a lot of files programmatically, using computer languages (be it statistical programming languages, or LaTeX ), and the edits often get saved every few seconds. The main reason why I don't want my work to be synced often therefore, is because I don't want hundreds of versions in the version history. I keep the sync engine off, so that only a few versions are saved per day. This is also good practice when collaborating with other people, as, firstly, they won't have to deal with hundreds of versions of my files, and also, it would prevent us having conflicting copies, when we work on the same file. So, I use the pause feature a lot.

Although I think scheduling the sync is a good idea, that system isn't dynamic enough, as edits need to be synced soon after changes are finalized. At other times (when one isn't working), one doesn't need the sync to be paused.

This idea needs to be implemented. OneDrive already has an 8 hour option.

The desktop app that allows you to pause syncing should have options to customize when syncing resumes (for example, set it to resume sync at 9pm or at 2am, whatever time the user sets). The existing options are too limited.

Hello people!

I need the sync pause to turn off at a specific time (20:00) and there is no option for that.

You can only choose 30 minutes, 1 hour, Until tomorrow or Indefinitely.

It would be great to be able to choose a specific time, like Google Keep reminders (For example).

Hola, gente!

The reason I pause sync is because syncing gets in the way when working and saving files. As I'm a programming it means when files are being sync their blocked from being saved if I'm editing them. The current 1 hour or 24 is really annoying as 24 means that syncing is on the same time the next day; i.e, when I'm working. 1 hour is too short therefore turning it off for 10 or 12 hours would be ideal. It would mean I can work during the day without syncing annoying me, then the modified files can be uploaded over night. etc.
