Add to Dropbox Passwords: 1) filling credit cards 2) secure notes

Add to Dropbox Passwords: 1) filling credit cards 2) secure notes

I've been using 1Password and am trying out Dropbox Passwords for the first time. There are 2 features 1Password has that I use frequently and would like to have added to Dropbox Passwords:

  1. Filling credit cards - I use this feature in 1Password often for placing online orders. I'd like to see this in Dropbox Passwords as an auto-fill feature. I understand I can add my credit card info to a note on the credit card's login entry, but that doesn't allow auto-fill.
  2. Secure notes - The other feature I use in 1Password is Secure Notes for storing info I frequently need that I'd like to store and access securely. Examples: driver's license number, passport number, employer ID. These don't have corresponding sites I would store logins to, so adding them as notes in a login record doesn't make sense.

Thanks for considering these additions!

Can attract more users to install Dropbox if added this function. Cool!

I agree that the ability to add secure notes is critical. It would seem that a workaround would be to add an entry without a URL/PW to which the note area could be filled out, but this should be an easy modification for DB to add to the app.

Filling in credit card information is a more complicated idea, and it is not something that I use that often, but "Secure Notes" would be a welcome addition.

I think it would be great to have the option to store credit card information in DB Passwords, and allow auto-fill.

This is a popular feature in other password managers such as LastPass.

I would like to use DB Passowrds but i'm afraid this feature is must have for me, as I'm already used to.

P.S - I know this can be done by using the Notes section, but it doesn't feel right plus it won't auto fill forms.

Completely agree. I've used LastPass and having 1) credit card autofill and 2) secure notes are the main reasons I'm hesitant to completely switch to Dropbox password. Otherwise great app.

My workaround for storing notes is to create a password entry titled like this, “Note: Social Security”. Then I let it suggest and fill in a password (I don't really need to know what it was is, because I don't use it, but it won't save the entry without a password). I leave the URL blank. Then I put the info I want to save in the note section.

All my note entries start with the word “Note:” so Dropbox lists them all together. Not ideal, but for notes, it works.

I don't have a workaround for the auto-fill of credit card info. DB needs to add that.

Please please implement this - I am having to keep Lastpass around JUST to store secure notes (credit card, bank info, wifi passwords, etc).

I literally just registered to dropbox because last pass became trash.
Drop box seemed perfect, as I won't get just a password manager but also all the other features.

I'm surprised and disappointed by no note supports. It's a must for so many things that are not directly associated with a website.
