Audit Group Access

Audit Group Access

Lecky

My business uses groups to manage access to folders and while it's easy to see who has access to a particular folder, there's no way to feasibly see all of the folders that a particular group has access to. I need to be able to audit group access to make sure employees don't have more access than they need.

Thank you for sharing your idea.

Our team has looked into this, but it is not something we are actively working on at this time. However, there is a workaround for admins who use the Watermint Tooklit API. You can find out more about that here.

There are no plans to add this in-product at the moment. We regularly review these ideas, and we will keep you updated if that changes in the future.

Need to be able to generate a report so that we know what folders a group is assigned.

I agree, I have the same issue with not being able to tell what folders have been shared with a group.

Hey all, has there been any movement on the request for Group/Membership reporting?  to assist with better reporting and management of security within Dropbox.

This is insane Dropbox.  Talk about ruining security and administrative management.  Admins need to audit access every 90 days, which very well can't be done folder by folder, thats idiotic.

It would be a SIMPLE CHANGE to allow us to see what FOLDERS a group has access to. Completely baffling you keep posting the same "we looked into and decided not to" message on this! Who is running the product development over there, they need fired.

How on earth can we not see what folders a group has access to? This is crazy basic stuff, guys. Also, using an unsupported toolkit is not an option since we have sensitive data.

Given how much our company spends annually with you this is nuts. FIX THIS.
