Autosave comments instead of manually posting them

I use the comment section to write notes attached to a video file. It'd be great to have comments automatically saved in real time. These days whether with email or document apps, one usually is not required to have to hit "save" manually for data to be saved. I have lost a bunch of comments  because I might go and add a tag and then when I come back all comments would be lost. Any workaround or can you save comments in real time please? THanks!

Just seems archaic to have to hit "save" to save in any program these days, frankly.
