I have a ton of pics and videos uploaded to DB but I really hate paying $100/year for storage. Other cloud services offer a 1 time lifetime payment, is this something Dropbox would consider?
I will be purchasing a lifetime plan from another proven could storage provider this Summer. After being with Dropbox for so many years, I find this unfortunate; that I have to jump ship because the option of lifetime purchase still does not exist with Dropbox.
A lifetime deal for one time pricing option would be a winner. Count me in, you guys could do a deal at [removed per the Community's Guidelines] a promotion. A lot of other cloud storage platforms are doing this now, would be a great way to pick up so new customers and offer upsells to. It doesn't have to be unlimited storage, nobody would expect that but some decent priced packages would be a great promo!
Nor Google, nor Microsoft offer lifetime subscriptions. Dropbox will not. Be careful of these "lifetime subscriptions" - make sure you read the fine print. Twice.
I would be willing to pay up to $100, as a one-time fee, for a 2 TB increase in Dropbox space. This price would eliminate the annoying monthly fees, which dissuade so many potential customers from using Dropbox's paid services.
This one-time "lifetime" cloud storage model has worked well for Degoo and would be more in line with the cost and process of purchasing external hard drive space currently.
Dropbox is really a lifesaver app. My idea/proposal is for dropbox to come up with a plan where we customers can make 1-time plan for a lifetime on top of the one you have where you are billed monthly/annually. So with that let's say a customer can eg. 20$ for 100GB or any space.
Hence will be like buying a device like an external drive etc.
