Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Hi, I find limited in the choices of subscription plans. Basic/free and Pro/110$

I'd gladly pay something like 25$ a year for 50GB and a 2 users family plan.

Considering iCloud have a 12$ plan for 20 GB and 48$ for 200GB, that seems reasonable..

Hello,

I wonder if it is possible for the people who don't need that much storage space but value the sync feature to have like a 1 dollar plan with 10GB of data and 10 devices for syncing.

For some people U$S 10 is not that much money and you get 2TB but in other countries the dollar is very expensive, but 1 dollar is something affordable.

Thanks!

Dropbox needs to listen to their users and change their subscription plans right away.

Individual Professionals need an unlimited plan.

I refuse to pay for 3 licenses on a business plan, when I only use one. It also makes it so I can’t join any Teams, which I have to do from time to time.

But I would gladly pay for an unlimited Professional account as I am already having to pay another cloud service to store the data which doesn’t fit inside my 3GB Professional account.

Dropbox is literally losing massive amounts of potential revenue on this matter.

Thank you Michael and all our other Community supporters.

Just to reiterate my and many other Dropbox customers concerns about storage plan costs. Having reached 80, I no longer have an income other than my pension, I also no longer use large amounts of storage, but having been a long standing user of Dropbox, to suddenly find I could no longer afford the annual fee, I was horrified the day I had to download all my dropbox files to a hard drive and delete everything from my Dropbox account. Now I just have to keep it below 2gb. I felt that we as users had served our purpose, when Dropbox could have shown compassion to the elderly and come up with a sensible and affordable storage plan. This surely would also have been a strong promotional item to attract new customers, how many internet companies show genuine care to those of us who are in our dotage.

This is not a fob story, but a reality that is even more critical today.

Getting old is something that will beset us all, considering how to make it a little easier for those in retirement, during these difficult times, would be applauded by all your existing customers and continue to produce a steady revenue income, let alone positive feedback for a company we have enjoyed and appreciated , when we could afford it.

Thank you for reading.

I really really don’t mean to come off as stingy. I’m just in a situation where I already have paid iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive and Box accounts.

I have a few services that sync updated files to Dropbox from time to time. On occasion if hit the 2GB limit and have to clear out. Now I’d love to pay, just I don’t need 2TB, 3TB, etc amounts of space. Like a solid 5GB or 15GB would be great. I think that’s what Apple and Google offer? Sorry for the rant, I just feel 2GB is too low yet 2TB is too high for some users. $2.99 for 250GB maybe? Idk. Making things up now.

Hi, I just want to add to your business insight that small businesses in developing countries can't afford that much price for just storage. one can make their own cloud with a VPN for that much money. I had a small chat with one of your sales support team executives. I needed a cheaper plan for a small business like mine with 20-30GB of storage, an admin account, and file security for 4-5 users.  but the only plan available for the same was costing me $15/user/month. I suggested he make a customized plan for me but he couldn't help. I mean once you have made the software you have to only enable a security thing. the only thing that costs you more is the space if I am not wrong.  Users like me do not want 5TB space therefore one can easily cut down the prices for such scenarios and make affordable plans for us. Think of it. it might actually boost your sales in countries like India. I can surely predict that you are not having a good client base in India. The only reason for that is the Cost.  Thanks for reading !!

NOTICE TO ADMINS: I see this same request posted at least once a week. Because it is a vitally needed feature which would actually take almost no engineering work to implement. But every time this is suggested, it gets moved into a thread from 8 years ago, which has the status of "Not being done right now". So no one is actually even counting or evaluating whether this is a needed feature.

PLEASE DO NOT MOVE THIS FEATURE IDEA TO A DEAD THREAD TO DIE YET AGAIN. BUT ACTUALLY EVALUATE IT AND SUGGEST IT TO THE PEOPLE IN AUTHORITY WHO DO NOT REALIZE THEY ARE LOSING A FAST AMOUNT OF MONEY BY NOT INCLUDING THIS DEMOGRAPHIC IN THEIR SUBSCRIPTION TIERS.

I have been a user for many years. I am a freelance artist, and generate quite a lot of media content, which requires space.

As a freelancer, I only need one user login of DropBox, so the Professional account was great. But in order to keep my usage level below 3TB, I have to offload my completed projects to another online cloud service. This is time consuming and dangerous as it is possible to lose data while migrating.

So I need a professional account which has unlimited space. You can charge the same as Business Advanced, but don't require a minimum of 3 users. Because it's only me using it. To be required to pay for 3 licenses when I am using 1 is not acceptable.

Also, there are times when I need to collaborate with bigger studios, which are already using Business Advanced and Teams. I can't join their Team if I have my own Business Advanced account, but I also then get charged for the shared space with them, which overloads me past the 3TB limit of a Professional account. Which then makes the entire Dropbox system impossible to work with and has caused countless hours of wasted time shuffling files around.

So please, immediately implement another account tier which is a Professional Account with Unlimited Space. Not doing so is causing you to lose money.

Thank you.

It would be really awesome and make so much sense if I could just purchase 1TB as an upgrade from the free dropbox plan. I don't have a need for 2TB and the jump from 2GB to 2TB's is so huge it would take the rest of this life and probably another whole life of using Dropbox to fill all that space!!! DB is a great asset, however Im sure it could be maximised more if this were an option.

I have a feeling that many others would also find this super supportive.

I look forward to hearing back about this being a new and accessible feature/possibility

Thank you

Yeah that would be great. OneDrive and google drive have it as a plan.

DROPBOX JUST DO IT.
