I`ve looked at every single plan on your site. Used dropbox for longer than i can remember and i love it.
I have a need for around 5-6 TB of storage online.
I just thought it strange i can't find anything for a single user over 3TB and i upgraded to 4TB and now i cannot go further
without more than doubling what i am already being charged and then some by upgrading to a multiple user team account.
Maybe something for you guys to consider. I was reluctant to move from dropbox as i find it super useful but now i will shop around for alternatives that i can't upgrade as needed. You will most likely be losing me a customer in the near future due to these constraints.
Furthermore are probably losing out on a huge solo worker market as files are huge these days and your 4TB plan isn't large enough at all for a solo worker using large files requiring extra storage without upselling people into multiple user plans they do not need,
Shame that something so simple hasn't been considered.
Im sure a lot of people would be willing to pay to upgrade per TB, (As i would have been also).
But making me upgrade to an unlimited package to only need 6TB is unreasonable, My payments would got from $40AUD per month to $140AUD.
I have to say dropbox service is excellent , and can not compare with One Drive or even Google drive , only problem Dropbox start from 2TB with monthly payment of USD 137 OR USD 14 PER MONTH + - .
In third world countries such as SouthAfrica with monthly fee of USD 14 we can get 5 lunch from Mac Donald !!!!
You may offer 100GB with less then 2 USD per month as one of your option then see million of new customer will move to Dropbox .
2TB is too big and 14USD is too much for us in this part of the world .
Can we please have 10GB or 20GB storage space with one-time payment only? Instead of making it into a monthly/yearly plan? I would gladly pay for one-time payment for storage space in dropbox as I am only using it for office files.
With the "Plus" plan currently being the cheapest pricing plan that offers many functionalities and features that are unnecessary for a someone that only users Dropbox for it's cloud storage. I'd like a cheaper basic plan for personal use.
500 GB Space, 1 User, 30 days File recovery and version history would be everything needed for such a basic plan.
I love Dropbox because of the aesthetics, the cross-device functionalities and the overal user experience. But I can't justify to myself paying €11,99 per month just for cloud storage.
I'm a photographer and I use Dropbox for file delivery and archiving of clients images. I'm maxed out at 4TB and can only archive about 4 seasons of work. Would love to have the option of simply paying for more space.
