Hi, I find limited in the choices of subscription plans. Basic/free and Pro/110$
I'd gladly pay something like 25$ a year for 50GB and a 2 users family plan.
Considering iCloud have a 12$ plan for 20 GB and 48$ for 200GB, that seems reasonable..
sadly there is no plan for single private users with unlimited space...
Dear Dropbox Management:
How much business are you losing amongst single consumers, and people who are economically disadvantaged? As a Canadian, your prices go from two gigabytes free to $155.00 for a yearly subscription for 200 gigabytes. Dropbox is, without a doubt, the best cloud based storage, but what about the entirely reasonable prospect of some interim pricing—say 50 gigabytes, 100 gigabytes, 150 gigabytes up to your 200 gigabyte initial offering.
When you consider Google Drive offers 200 gigabytes for $36.00 dollars a year, and 100 gigabytes for $24.00 dollars a year, your prices seem somewhat on the prohibitive side for individuals. Your product is superior, but your prices seem very high, and the fact that you offer no interim storage solutions make that price go from high to prohibitive...
How hard would it be to offer lesser storage packages, and garner the business of individuals who may not need 200 gigabytes; individuals who may not be able to afford the astronomic leap from two gigabytes to 200 gigabytes of data. It's bad enough being pricey, but to go from free to $155.00 dollars a year ($192.00 on a monthly plan) seems a very user-unfriendly leap...
I think that the difference between 2GB and 2000GB is huge and as a user for a long time I prefer your service but I don't want to buy capacity which is unreal to use for me.
I think that it will be great that you offer us following plans
What about offering a competitive offer in response to Google Drive and iCloud storage such as a Family plan of 200GB for 2 euros/month ?
Would be happy to pay for it, otherwise will keep using Google Drive...
why isnt there an upgrade option for basic users?
im not a big company, i dont need a million giggaflops of space, like 50gb would totally hold me over forever (and i happily pay reasonable price forit forever)
this website is completely useless for personal use, im not gonna pay 200 bucks to store my 70 selfies (of 500 mb) on a 3terrabyte drive (exaggeration) no matter how secure or trusted or whatever.. id rather go to mega that gives me 20gb free.
i dont get it, dropbox could easily absolutely dominate the market for consumer cloud storage, but it exclusively targets giant companies. why?
Offer 100GB and 200GB space................2TB is too high and too expensive
Add a 4.99 a month (or less) tier for drop box with 50-100 gigs of storage.
As I professional and former Plus and Pro subscriber (I stopped when the price jumped and I didn't need 10x the storage I was using) I want to advocate for a small storage plan for professionals:
1TB of Plus service with 90 day recovery/rewind, 100GB file upload limit, Viewer history, File locking, Ransomware detection and recovery (this should be standard on any paid plan, I think), Alerts and notifications, Watermarking.
5.00/mo or 50/yr.
I would subscribe to this plan.
I currently need more storage on my account and I don't want to pay more licenses since I'm not going to use it.An option to allow professionals is a must this days.3TB is just not enough for a professional. Thanks
