Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations?

Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations?

Hi, I find limited in the choices of subscription plans. Basic/free and Pro/110$

I'd gladly pay something like 25$ a year for 50GB and a 2 users family plan.

Considering iCloud have a 12$ plan for 20 GB and 48$ for 200GB, that seems reasonable..

I would just like to add my name to the list of independent photographers that need more than 3TB of storage for their individual plan. Please allow us to upgrade our individual plans to higher tiers of available space.  Thanks!

Hope people keep voting for this. As much as I hate to suggest it, I see a lot of photographers on this thread so would recommend you look at SmugMug.  I also use SmugMug for storing my personal photos. I tried with DropBox, but they are not very "friendly" for viewing/managing photos.  SmugMug has unlimited storage and has great tools and viewing options, including mobile.  If I moved SmugMug back to dropbox, I would need even more space.  They really are missing their SMB/single user market.  Good luck to all.  Maybe someday dropbox will really try to listen and be responsive to their customers.  As I learned early in my corporate sales days, it takes about 5x the effort and dollars to get a new customer vs. keeping an exisiting one.  So in a situation where expanding storage would only drive more revenue, not create a liability, this makes little sense.

I've also brought up the subject of Dropbox's expensive pricing with them, time and time again... and nothing changes.

Over the past few years, online backup services have got cheaper as cloud providers have also dropped their prices.  In response, Dropbox has just got more expensive.

They're currently quoting me £120 for to upgrade to "Dropbox Plus" with just 2Tb of storage.

Face facts...  they just don't care.

They read comments like this, and just don't care.

Thankfully for us, there are plenty of other providers at half the price which provide unlimited data.

I've been using dropbox for many years and despite having various other cloud storage options, One Drive, google drive, box.com etc, Dropbox has always been the most reliable, the easiest to use and with the most useful functions that I use on a daily basis. I was using business but downgraded to Professional when I realised I was paying for 5 users when there is only me. Professional is perfect for me and I make great use of selective sync. My folders are full of client artwork that I cannot delete. Sometimes I need to make changes years later for improvements as there are constant sales. I'm almost at the 3tb threshold and I really need more space. One set of artwork I just generated in the last 3 days comes to over 300 gigabytes. Please make it so we can purchase more space. 8 to 10 gig is where I would want to be at for the next few years with the potential to have more in years to come.

If there are photographers out there who need more space, consider Smugmug.  https://secure.smugmug.com/signup?Coupon=VWJrTT

This link will get you a 1 time discount (until end of October to sign up, I believe) to try it if dropbox isn't working for photos. It is NOT a similar service to dropbox for storage of multiple kinds of files - simply photos and videos with great tools to view/manage.   Hopefully dropbox will hear all of our requests and consider giving us options for more storage (and revenue to them!).

I am a sole proprietor of my business and your current plan does not provide adequate storage for me. Can I sign up for the Standard Business plan only by myself? 5TB would be adequate for my needs.

Hey guys, you really should do a plan for students that allows you having like 500GB for a cheap amount of money. Everybody in my class needs cloud storage and they are quitting on you cause de DropBox Plus Plan is way too expensive for what we need. 2TB is just so much storage.

Hope you consider my advice, I really look forward to use a DropBox Plan without beating my bank account up

I see this request again and again. I've made it myself reieatedjy over the years. Yet Drop claims there's no requirement. Sigh. Smugmug or Backblaze then I suppose.

I waited so long... time to move. I am moving to Koofr.

Dear Dropbox,

I have been a user since day zero. I recommended plenty of users to Dropbox. I wanted to pay you a few bucks. I've begged that I can pay you. But 120 dollars (times 4 family members) per year for the cheapest plan is simply too much.

I do not need terabytes of data. I do not need a preview of files or branded watermarks or integration with the calendar. All I wanted is file sharing. Soo simple.

There will be no way back. I already migrated. And even if you would offer better plans I will not look back. And I will suggest the same to everyone around me.

So long and thank you for the fish.
