Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Hi, I find limited in the choices of subscription plans. Basic/free and Pro/110$

I'd gladly pay something like 25$ a year for 50GB and a 2 users family plan.

Considering iCloud have a 12$ plan for 20 GB and 48$ for 200GB, that seems reasonable..

your plans are not as good as onedrive, which gives you free 5GB, and dropbox only gives 2GB =(

Onedrive is 1.99/month for 100... you should step up and at least be equal or have some other options. For people like me that don't need much, is too much to pay $9.99 when you won't use even half of that capacity.
I recommend you implement lower price options for less storage... example $0.99/month for 250GB or $1.99/month for 500GB
FYI - I can get Microsoft 365 Family plus 100TB of storage for about $8/month. Not sure why I wouldn't pick that option instead of yours.
Anyway, thank you for the help, I just wanted to provide feedback as a customer. I would love to not give any business to Microsoft but unfortunately it just seems better option... hope you guys come up with more plan options!

Agreed. The free plan does not fit my needs and the 2TB current plan is too much.

We need another option such as 1TB.

Also, I want to pay for what I use and not what I might use. Several companies do that now. I"ve been a dropbox customers for over a decade now but am thinking on trying something  else next year.

I have been paying $155/yr. for 2TB of storage for a measly 155GB of items. I finally "pulled the plug" and moved over to 200GB of Google Drive for $40/yr. I wish Dropbox would wake up and smell the coffee.

Seems that DB not willing to listen to the users' voice (and this thread has been exists for more than 6 years), I'm switching to Google Drive service.

I need more devices not more space! 2TB is way more then I want or need.

Please add plans in between  $120 a year and free. I can't justify the 120 per year when I don't even use the 1 GB of the storage. The marketing person that thought this was a good idea is a dumb ass free or 120 per year, They should fired that person. Everyone knows the subscription model is like drugs first one is free.  But if it cost way more than any one wants to spent, then no one will buy it. Your price model is like one gram of weed free or 1lb of crack.  To everyone on the free model feels like a big jump from weed to crack and big commitment to dropbox. I hope this opens some ones eyes at dropbox.

You really, really need an intermediate plan.  I see there was a request for this option made here over *four years* ago!  I have had a free account with you for many, many years, and am just now starting to outgrow it.  I have 8 times the space for free right now with both Google and Microsoft, but I would be willing to stay here if you offered a choice of plans.  I can get 100GB from either of those other vendors for about $2 per month.  That is plenty enough for me if I ever want to get a paid subscription for more space.  Paying $12 per month for space I don't need would be a ridiculous waste of money.  Sorry, but I feel I am forced to switch.

Dropbox have previously said they will not consider smaller plans - they have said that its not just the space you pay for, its the whole 'Dropbox' eco system (Paper, Smart Sync etc.)

THANKFULLY there is a free market so you can, of course, go elsewhere 🙂

Might I assume, Mark, that you do not work in either sales or customer support.  😝

i build a platform on the free service, referred friends and now have 10gb that i cannot leave due to external links spread all over.

how could i have foreseen that? all other clouds accommodate their users' needs

@RollcageTV

I run two successful companies in the UK..... just because a user demands a set price point does not mean it needs to be accomodated. Ultimately if you miss price things the whole company fails.

I'd love to drive a brand new Porsche but only want to be £25k. It is not bad salesmanship or customer service to say "no" and that if I want it I need to pay the correct price. They could however tell me to go and look at VW or Seat which may be more at my price point.
