Adding another disappointed voice. Even 1tb was an overkill for me but I paid because I am a loyal customer and didn't complain (I haven't even reached 40gb yet!), and yes, Dropbox has always been pricey. Many of us aren't asking for lower plans, understand the company's stance that they lost money, however, requesting a package that is the same price to what we agreed to is fair. If I needed over 1gb, I would probably think the A$40 price increase was reasonable although I could argue it should have been a bonus to keep Dropbox competitive. Many developers offer deals for long time users, so could Dropbox.
That would be great to have some paid plans in between Basic and Plus. Basic is not sufficient because of 3 devices limit. And Plus is like throwing out money for nothing because me for example will never use 2 TB of space.
Any chances to get plan with 5+ devices and for example 25-50 GB of space for some one-two $ a month?

Yes, many customers like us, we love dropbox & we need smaller plan, 2TB is really overkilled (and also 20% price increased!! ). I am considering cancel my plan because current "Plus Plan" really expensive to me....
I'm a Dropbox customer for around 5 years and used to reccomend everyone. But now with bad plan and price I'm starting to consider move to other. 2TB with $119.88 per year is far too overkilled. It would be much better to have a smaller plan.
I have been using dropbox for about 8 years now I think? And it has been amazing, and I love it, but man, $120 for a year plan, for me, it's a lot. And worse, I can't even share the 2 tb space with another account. I could make a case to my husband, who also has a free account and is using even less than I am now (I have 10 gb free and I'm at about 7gb). But how do I justify the expense to myself, if I'm not even using 1% of what I would be paying for? It's just not worth it. Maybe $10 isn't much for most people, but in our currency, it's 4 times that, and that's about what I pay for my cellphone plan a month, and half what I pay for my landline plan (that includes cable tv and internet), so, yeah, it's a lot. I've been waiting for a paid plan for 6 years, a smaller paid plan, and nothing. I keep telling myself that I should just give up on dropbox and buy the google drive plan, but I have been with dropbox for so long...
Unfortunately Loyalty is no longer rewarded - best to look around, I am in the UK and I just pay Google £7,99 for 2TB - They don't do 200GB anymore it's 100GB or 2TB but I do a lot of 4K video of my kids and trips so I use that to store it . it's half the price of Drop box and just as usefull.
