Can we have plans that are smaller than 1 TB?

Hi, I find limited in the choices of subscription plans. Basic/free and Pro/110$

I'd gladly pay something like 25$ a year for 50GB and a 2 users family plan.

Considering iCloud have a 12$ plan for 20 GB and 48$ for 200GB, that seems reasonable..

As I looked in the forum about your plans. It has been several years since your users shared ideas for the pricing plan. One thing that attracts me to Google One, it offers several VERY reasonable plans for the different types of needs by users. His 250GB plan for $ 29.95/year which attracts me more. Dropbox, take the risk of losing your users with your status quo with your plans which do not seem much appreciated by several users. Be proactive by listening to your users who suggest good comments. Good listener.

So, um, Google One has a pricing tier aimed at home users that allow users to buy 100GB of storage for only a couple of dollars a month, rounding up to maybe USD20 a year. Not every user needs 3TB of cloud storage, and I can say with certainty that if Dropbox had similarly priced storage tiers with options for 100GB, 250GB or 500GB storage, they would be extremely handy for a lot of people. I know for sure that I'd be grabbing an annual subscription if such an opportunity showed up.

This is my last resort before moving away from Dropbox. I prefer dropbox over other similar platforms (even if I also have 1Tb in onedrive as office365 subscriber). I have been using the "free" dropbox since dropbox exists, and have recruited numerous friends. Size is limited but enough, but the device limitation is pushing me to find alternatives. I might just go for onedrive, but I think you are losing many customers like me for that reason. Most of dropbox customers for sure have onedrive accounts as we need also office.

In any case, I would prefer to keep dropbox account for my main files (a matter of trust), however I am not willing to afford 10$/month for 2Tb.  Instead I would gladly pay 5$/month for even 250Gb or less. I believe there are millions of users like me around. I may be wrong. But I think dropbox should try the market and do an experiment with users like me. They could really grow revenue I believe.

I'll register yet another ask for a plan between Basic and Plus.  I've skimmed a lot of this thread, and it's been mentioned many times that Dropbox cannot make money if this was done.  That is hard for me to believe.

I've got a Basic plan, and need more space.  Dropbox makes no money from me.  I'd gladly consider $2-4 a month for cloud storage that isn't Google, but $10/month is just too much, when I only need 50-100 GB.  It seem there are lots of individual users in this same boat.

I'm going to suck it up and end up moving to Google Drive.  $2/month for 100 GB hits a sweet spot for me.  It seems these much cheaper options will ultimately be the demise of Dropbox.  They've got to figure out a way to make a mid-sized/priced plan work for private users and keep themselves profitable.

Would it be possible (in the future) to launch something like Dropbox Mini (say for 1TB).

There don't have to be much extras, but the difference between 2GB and 2TB is huge (in my opinion 2TB is somewhat large for a moderate private user).

In comparison Google One is a lot cheaper, but I want to ask the question anyway since switching everything over is not what I would like to do.

Although the restriction to 3 devices was already a serious setback for Free users, the big difference in storage seems to push users over to another cloud storage, reachable from all devices.

Wouldn't it be something to consider, that Dropbox Mini with (lets say) 4 or 5 devices?

I will not pay 10€ a month to get what I already have elsewhere although I like Dropbox.

I'm also looking for something between Basic and Plus.

I probably need 50GB max and would be happy to pay up to £3p/m for it.

As it is, I have 1TB with google drive bundled for free with other services I pay for, so paying £8 p/m for 2TB makes no sense at all.

Came here to post the same issue. I love Dropbox so much - but I use Google Drive because they have a smaller plan.

I don't need 2TB. 200 GB for competitive price would be enough.

I also came for the same reason. Sadly, 10 bucks a month is too high.. every service nowadays thinks they are worth 120 euros a year.

Having the lowest plan being 5 times more expensive than Google Drive is sad. I do believe Dropbox is a great product, but I think they should really accomodate the non-power users. I'd happily throw a couple of bucks their way for their great product. But just not 10 euros per month for the rest of my life.

Can't agree more with the @tacos @jlara @juergen2

I'm also here to suggest the same thing. I wish they have launched 200/300GB for 4-5 USD, it'll bring majority of Google drive users, including me.😊

I remember the same request I raised few years ago, still they haven't done a single thing in this regard. May be because of their personal and business accounts making enough 💰💰💰💰💰.
