My main device has a 1TB drive. I have a lot of vids on other drives that take up about 1.5 TB that I would like to put in the cloud. But of course I wouldn't want to, and couldn't put all these in Dropbox on my main machine. And DB does not let you put the content of external drives, which you can do on Google Drive. But DB does strong arm you into having 2 TB of space you therefore can't use. This would appear to be many users' situation, judging from this thread.
So I would respectfully suggest that if DB insists on us having 2TB of space, at least let us use it by allowing putting the content of external drives into the cloud. Not too much to ask. Or alternatively, finesse their plans to reflect the needs of most users. I believe a 1 TB plan, appropriately priced, would suit a lot of people and attract a lot more customers.
I feel like some people may agree with me, that they would subscribe to Dropbox if the available subscriptions weren't so huge. I'd gladly pay around $5 a month for around 100GB of storage.
We need a plan for those only needing up to 500GB or 1TB only. I used to pay £79/year for 1TB, now I pay £95.88/year for 2TB & I only use 108GB! Dropbox please listen!
But we hope to add a security on start! Because this is a secret app ! So I hope date that you add a strong security on a starting app like other security and locker apps ! And we don't need to use other locker app to lock Dropbox !
Secondly I hope the storage space of the Dropbox (2 GB) is really very SMALL ! However you have to agree this fact ! I think that if you develop the storage space to 10 GB or 15 GB it's nothing to you ! I think that's a very simple for you
I think that's not a just very easy, but very very easy and very very simple for you ! And I hope that you will work for this !
May I hope that to you ??? All the best for you ! And thanks again !!
I am proposing a $99.99 plan. I think this a good middle ground because for Dropbox it beats losing subscriptions altogether, and for the customer it means getting a better value.
I have been subscribed to the $199.99 plan for few years now and having experienced very slow business during the pandemic I had to cut costs, so I made the decision to cancel my Dropbox subscription. It's not that I don't love Dropbox - because I do! - but I just can't see why I pay all this money for space I will never use, and I was looking to save and not cancel but there is shockingly no option to downgrade to a smaller package!
I would stay gladly subscribed if I saw a smaller option, and the $99.99 would be perfect middle-ground that is more palatable than the whole-hog $200 for 3TB.
