Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Hi, I find limited in the choices of subscription plans. Basic/free and Pro/110$

I'd gladly pay something like 25$ a year for 50GB and a 2 users family plan.

Considering iCloud have a 12$ plan for 20 GB and 48$ for 200GB, that seems reasonable..

I support this idea.  I simply do not understand the problem.  I have read some of the thread and some seem to suggest that one problem is DropBox is loosing money with the service.

I am not even asking for the same ratio of "dollars to GB".  You could make a plan with 250GB for 5$ a month and I would prefer that.  Less money for me and a much better ratio of "dollars to GB" for you.  Let's do the math:

   Current price: 15.99$CA/month for 2000GB -> 0.008$/GB

   Suggested plan: 4.99$CA/month for 250GB -> 0.019$/GB (about 2x more money)

So money seems odd to me as an excuse.

A lot of people (and I mean A LOT !!!!!!!!!!! as in most normal user, my mom, my aunt, etc.) do not need 2TB of storage.

DropBox are not interested. I don't know why they keep on having the string here? But there are other with similar suggestion/content. Maybe they just use it as a sensor measuring people's interest.

But there are presently 72 pages of the same. Stretching out over several years. Move on, people. According to DB themselves you are not paying for data, you are paying for sharing opportunities.

Hi,

Please launch small plan for those who don't want more space and they can save their money also. provide us option to zoom image in dropbox; every time we have to open extra tab to view zoom image.

If you can give us option to export link in bullk via excel that would be great( like single single image link and bullk also.)

Thanks!

I've also brought up the subject of Dropbox's expensive pricing with them, time and time again... and nothing changes.

Over the past few years, online backup services have got cheaper as cloud providers have also dropped their prices.  In response, Dropbox has just got more expensive.

They're currently quoting me £120 for to upgrade to "Dropbox Plus" with just 2Tb of storage.

Face facts...  they just don't care.

They read comments like this, and just don't care.

Thankfully for us, there are plenty of other providers at half the price which provide unlimited data.

I am a sole proprietor of my business and your current plan does not provide adequate storage for me. Can I sign up for the Standard Business plan only by myself? 5TB would be adequate for my needs.

Hey guys, you really should do a plan for students that allows you having like 500GB for a cheap amount of money. Everybody in my class needs cloud storage and they are quitting on you cause de DropBox Plus Plan is way too expensive for what we need. 2TB is just so much storage.

Hope you consider my advice, I really look forward to use a DropBox Plan without beating my bank account up

I see this request again and again. I've made it myself reieatedjy over the years. Yet Drop claims there's no requirement. Sigh. Smugmug or Backblaze then I suppose.

@msuchy

I hear you - but I have DB-links tied to lots of files in my 10GB referral earned dropbox - but if I could shift easily, I WOULD!

No secret that I find that DB is holding me and my files prisoner by not offering cheaper plans. I also do not care for all the "services" that DB has developed in the years I have been a part (yeah, right from the beginning).

First of all, I would like to say that I love dropbox. Have been using dropbox basic for years now. I would like to updgrage to pro package. But buying 2TB storage is unnecessary and costly for me and most people who works as an Individual. If the dropbox could create new additional plans like 50GB, 100Gb and so on like Google drive, it would really be really great for people like me.

Agree. As of right now iCloud 200GB is working for me. Starting to move some my things over.
