I am sending video files through Dropbox. Can I change or select the thumbnail that is on the video when playing it back.
Thanks, @Jay. Add me to the list of customers who would like to see the thumbnail problem resolved.
hey there guys!
is it possible to change the thumbnail of a video file? please any reply would be great.
add me to the upvote count for this as well
Its crazy that this is still not a feature. I receive confused emails from clients weekly on this matter and have to constantly explain why. At this point, I'm looking into dropbox alternatives that will fit our workflow because the presentation of our finished projects is an incredibly important aspect of our business.
Hi, it would be fantastic to be able to change the image preview for a video. So many people I share videos with complain to me about the static image. It's unfortunately not flattering most of the time. Thanks for adding this feature if possible. It would be a welcome change. Otherwise, I will have to use YouTube or Vimeo to share the videos.
same problem and I have a very expensive dropbox business account.
Useless with the wrong thumbnail. Big flaw!
I've had countless clients complain about their preview when submitting a video for review. Please either allow us to change the preview or at least disable it. A plain black screen for that matter. So tired of telling folks this is just a random frame picked by Dropbox and will be fixed once it goes live. Thank you!
I agree. This is a very necessary feature for professionals. How has this not been fixed yet? You can do it on frame.io. I'll have to use that for now.
This makes Dropbox look bad with sharing videos. Fixing this should be very important since sharing expands Dropbox reach to other users, at no cost. This should be considered crucial for you to do well. Other services do better (and have been doing so for a long time) by picking the first frame, I think. Most people start their videos intentionally, and know their first frame. Nobody intentionally knows to make their frame at :08 great, even if they could. This is so random. How come nobody at Dropbox has replied in this thread and simply said "yes, we will fix this it is now on our roadmap." You shouldn't have to poll users for this, it is common sense.
