I’ts about time we faithful users trough many years get this feature available by now. Most of us (at least the ones I know urge for this feature), and we work from our mobile units It’s to hard having to get a hold of a PC/Mac need to use that every time we need to request important and urgent files.
When meeting with clients and they ask for a secure link to upload files, it would be nice to be able to create it in the moment vi mobile app instead of telling them to wait until I get back to my computer.
I know I can go to the website on my phone but then what do I need the app for?
Would love to have the option to request file from my iOS app instead of waiting till I come across a desktop. It doesn’t make sense to why this isn’t already a thing.
Why has this obvious lack in functionality of the app, which has been raised by users for years, still not been remedied??
This is 2022, Dropbox needs to come to terms with the fact that people use mobile devices for everything. I pay decent money for Dropbox and I still can’t do a pretty basic thing using my iPhone or iPad. Is there a reason Dropbox hasn’t allowed File Request on mobile apps?
Oh I could really use this right now. I want to receive a file from someone and it is not easy to contact them from the computer, but it is easy to contact them from my mobile. Sharing the desktop link to my device is doable, but not very streamlined, even with Dropbox itself. I can drop it into a new text file, open the text file on the device, copy it to a message, and then delete the file. This seems like a process that could easily be automated to create the feature, too. Just needs a UI on the mobile end.
Hello, I can't find the button for file request on iOS app but I can do it on the website using iPhone or any computer. Could you build this into the Dropbox iOS app? It would be much easier if I don't have to log in to the browser every time just to use this function. Thanks.
