Desktop app (with syncing) for devices with ARM processors

Desktop app (with syncing) for devices with ARM processors

I would really like to see a client for the Raspberry Pi, or any ARM based client that supports the live syncing that dropbox does so well.

Adding my vote for Dropbox on Apple Silicon Mac's. This is the future of Mac, so really want to see Dropbox on there. Hard to belive I'm going to be without Dropbox on my new MacBook Air.

BIG Surprise: Beta Build 110.3.425 working on macOS Big Sur on Apple Silicon Macs !!!

Bravo Dropbox, at last after 5 months they came available ...

A general message from Dropbox on the main production page would have been very helpfull too ^^

I just bought the new Surface Pro X and after trying for days to download the Dropbox app for desktop, I was told that this app does not work with Microsoft's newest ARM processor.  To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.  I hope Dropbox can fix this issue!

Dropbox needs urgently to address this problem - its desktop client does not install on Windows on ARM devices. Dropbox has had a couple years to make this work and they haven't. They have left customers in the lurch and it is very disappointing. Somehow, they can get dropbox working on Silicon Macs within days of their release and yet for Windows on ARM we've been waiting for well over a year since the Surface Pro X was released. Disgraceful. Dropbox needs to sort this out quickly.

I wonder how many votes are required to get attention on this.  It has 299 votes so far.  It's not like it's a poll of all users where there would be 10s of thousands.

Well, while I was looking at the numbers, this switched from "Needs more votes" to "Not for right now".  Because I was going to say that this is the 3rd  highest vote getter, at 299, of all user requested changes.

There are many with zero votes that have been delivered on and many with 10 to 100 votes that are in review or delivered on, so it is clear that the user voting is just for show and to keep the little people at bay; they have their own agenda and community is only because it saves them support costs when  @Здравко  answers support issues for them.

It's a free market and they can choose to do as they wish but, please, don't pretend that it's a question of votes when votes of the community have absolutely nothing at all to do with the decision on features or improvements.

So they have a build for Apple ARM but not for other ARM.  Unless a billionare gets paid, Dropbox is not supported.

Another reason to buy a M1 Apple Mac: Dropbox works fine with it !!

We need a desktop version of dropbox for the Surface Pro X, Q1 & Q2 procs.  they are seen as ARM procs.  I redirect my desktop, music, documents folders to folders within dropbox as a backup solution.  I can no longer do this.  I'm going to have to switch to One Drive.

Five and a half years later and we're still waiting for a raspberry pi port of Dropbox.

Dropbox is my way of linking all my computers. This port is very much needed, please.

Thanks

It's completey unacceptable that the Dropbox client would work on the newly announced Mac ARM but not on Windows ARM. If Architecture (ARM) were the problem both Windows and Mac would not have been supported. But why leave out only Windows on ARM?

Note that Windows has native OneDrive support and I have been forcing myself to use Dropbox even though my usecases could very well be supported by OneDrive or GDrive (Premium user on all three services).

And, with Surface Pro X gaining momentum and Dropbox continuning to ignore Windows on ARM, my only option is to start using OneDrive (I already have Office 365, hence, space is not a concern for me).
