Just started using Dropbox Passwords and I want to be able to hide the icon from the dock. I don't need it in the Dock, Taskbar and Chrome extensions. Since you can only have the dropbox icon in the taskbar I would like to do the same with Passwords.
Same boat. I just spent the last 30 minutes converting my workflow from Lastpass to Dropbox Passwords, and now I find out it's sitting around in my dock and my Cmd-Tab list.
I assume that Dropbox will fix this soon (just like it works for the main Dropbox app). If not I may have to go back to Lastpass, which would be a bummer.
I even tried the old trick of inserting this into the Info.plist file:
<key>LSUIElement</key>
<string>1</string>
Which is exactly how Dropbox.app hides itself from the dock - but fighting through SIP to get the modified app to run is not worth it. I may uninstall, then redownload, then edit the file, and _then_ run it for the first time (so I can re-approve it) in hopes that will work, but it's too much hassle right now.
Good news! With the latest 7.2.15 version it's now possible to quit the window and dropbox will keep running in the background with an icon in the menu bar.
Unfortunately what user gibatronic mentioned does not hold (anymore?). I am on version 7.2.36 and when I quit the dock app it also disappears from the menu bar.
Back to the square one - is it planned in the development of Dropbox Passwords that it will act like the Dropbox app?
