I started using dropbox a few hours ago, I uploaded all my photos but couldn't seem to find a "select all" feature which was pretty sad and dissapointing since google drive has it. Someone like me, who has alot of photos can't keep tapping on my screen and scrolling down for a long time, it's tiring to say the most. So I wanted to suggest this feature if thats possible.

Hey there @Atago,

A great way to send feature requests, feedback about what you like/dislike and even request help is to go to the Send feedback option. You can find this option with the steps in the spoiler below:

Spoiler
Android:
  1. Open the Dropbox app.
  2. Tap the menu icon in the top left (3 horizontal bars).
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Scroll down to the option Send feedback.

iOS:
  1. Open the Dropbox app.
  2. Tap the Account tab.
  3. Tap the gear icon in the top left.
  4. Scroll down to the option Send feedback.

However, the Community is also a good place to send feedback and request features so I’ve passed along your comments to our dev team for review. Also, I’ve moved your post to our “Share an idea” section so that others can upvote your suggestions and even add their own points.

Have a great day ahead - Thanks!

You can now select all files in a location of your Dropbox mobile app.

You can tap on a file in there and then a double checkmark will appear on the top right. You click that and it selects all the files. You see a file count as well.

Cheers!

From business perspective, I would need to upload large no of photos from my iPhone/iPad to dropbox. I don't want to use the camera upload feature as I don't want to upload all my camera photos. I want to select the albums and upload all photos of selected albums only. Currently I have to manually select all photos within an album one by one. It is very frustrating to select thousands of photos one by one.

I have wondered why I can't select multiple photos from the iPad or iPhone app and get an option to share to a specific Dropbox folder?  They must be uploaded one at a time for the destination Dropbox to be available.  HOWEVER, if the destination folder is EMPTY, I have the option (from the Dropbox side) to add from Photos, and can then select as many as I want.  Once the folder is no longer empty, this option disappears. That is even if there is a solitary, empty, folder within it.

I would like the Upload Photos option to be constantly available, empty or not.

And, I wonder why, from the sending side, (Photos in iPad or iPhone), it only works one photo at a time?

I don't want "Camera Uploads" to go in bulk to one place, because I like to distinguish between folders on a case-by-case basis.

Thanks, K

On the latest iOS app, when in a folder of images, I select the small tick box at the top to ‘switch on’ the select boxes to the left of every file item in the folder. Why is there not a ‘Select All’ tick box that appears at the very top of the list?
