Would be great to see a Linux client for Dropbox Passwords! Currently, the browser plugin / extension doesn't work on Linux since a desktop app is required.
Will the extension be available for Chromium?
Hi @Emma Following your response from Monday https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-ideas/Linux-client-for-Dropbox-Passwords/idc-p/512843/highli...
you still needs to have Dropbox password installed on your computer in order to install the browser extension... And you can't install it on Linux computers...
Hi, I was able to install the Chrome extension by searching on the Chrome web store and I was able to associate it with my account.
Hi @Lusil, The screen shot of the page I get when I try to instll passwords (on Chrome and Firefox)
@Lusil yup, seeing same page as @esventat
@bonafidehan @esventat could you try this in incognito mode or logged out of your Dropbox account and let me know if you get the same result?
@bonafidehan @esventat I took this to our engineering team after I posted this, and they identified that it was a bug, but one they could resolve there and then. So, the fix was deployed last night 🎉
Could you both try again and let me know if this is resolved for you? Thank you!
thank you, Emma
now it works, but as a browser extension but not as an app... but its usable 🙂
Yes, a Linux client for Dropbox Passwords would be very helpful.
