I nearly go blind every time I open dropbox, how can you guys have been around so long yet you still don't have a simple toggle to change the CSS style to a darker color to not blind your users?
We are closing this idea so that we can provide the Community with updates on Dark Mode by individual product. We hope this provides a better user experience as this thread has grown quite long. Thanks for all of your votes, comments and enthusiasm!

When is dropbox going to get a dark mode for both their website and their application? Seriously, get with the times! I have to use DarkReader to view this website without blinding myself in low light envirornments.
Please note that dark mode is not simply inverting the colors, do not do this, its even worse. Shades of proper greys is how you do a true dark mode. Let me show you an example of a properly dark moded dropbox page.
Notice how its smooth and doesn't cause eye strain? You should also do this for your client as well, which I never use cause its horrible anyway but still.
How is this not a thing yet? Browser plugins like DarkReader and NightEye can do it for the website view with pretty decent results, but I just can't see myself using the desktop app at all until dark mode is implemented.
I just dropped by that this idea has been passed along to the team for review while it's also worth mentioning that this is already available for the Dropbox mobile apps.
Thanks for your suggestions and to everyone who has supported this idea so far!
Looks like dropbox developers just don`t care about dark mode. They are falling behind in development. I think it`s too bad thay can`t figure it out, like all other app.
What is it with Dropbox and the focus on usabillity and minimalistic concistency through all your apps, on all platforms? Your Paper app offers darkmode on macOS desktop and in the browser, but it's all bright white on iOS. And, your main app is dark on iOS, but than again, white on the web and the desktop. Paper offers custom ordening of the leftside menu on macOS, but it still lacks this (synchronized) support in the browser. Pff... we're paying almost 20 euros per month per user for a minimal(istic) (set of) application(s). Is that base so hard to maintain? And yes, I still find Dropbox one of the best solutions for the storage, management and sharing of files... but what happened to your user-centric approach from the early days?
