The recent changes in the desktop app kind of break our UX workflow.
For instance, the default notification filter is set to "My Activity" while before it was set to team + my activity (which is different from the current "Team Activity" alternative). The thing is that this filter isn't saved and must be reselected every time Dropbox starts.
It would be super cool to save which filter is selected upon restart, and icing on the cake would be to have an additional filter "All Activity" (to have team+local activity changes).
The other UX breaking change is the default action upon double-clicking on an activity entry: it now opens the file while previously it viewed it in an explorer (which in turn now requires more clicks). Here too it would have been super cool to be able to choose what's the default action.
No big deal all-in-all, but it kind of frustrate me a lot to have to adapt after years of working habit. It's fine to break UX to do better thing in the long run, though it would be super cool to consider extending the user settings.
