View Tags in Column View

View Tags in Column View

My suggestion is that tags be viewable in column view. Tags would be more useful if they could be viewed and a folder able to be sorted 'by tag'. Seeing a folder of files and not knowing which files are tagged until you select the individual file or search the folder makes the use of tags limited. My suggestion is to expand this feature so that files can be assigned and viewable to users in list mode.

My team has been discussing using multiple TAGS on dropbox. (We use APPLE's tagging system now, which incidentally does sync over DROPBOX, but limits the use of tags to Apple users) My suggestion to DROPBOX is that TAGS be made visible in VIEW modes. The SEARCH feature is the only way to view multiple files that have been tagged. Being able to see tagged items while viewing files in LIST or GRID mode would give us an overview of tagged folders and files;  helping us to see clearly which files are assigned to which projects.

Yes! Being able to sort files by tags would be great. And/or a list/word-cloud of tags you can click on to take you to all files using that tag.

Adding tags in view mode and also a tag management where you can delete unused tags would be great. I started to use tags a few days ago. But since then while setting tags to pictures, I sometimes mistyped. So now there are some tags that aren't used, don't show any files when used in search. But cause of no tag management at the moment, I can't delete them (like in other online services like Pocket for example). And they also don't disappear when being used (like in some blog systems).

Tagging is boggy and less functional than it should be. When I tag a file, I have to relaunch online login to view my files. Also, why is there no tag library/list? This omission requires the user to have to separately maintain a database of tags. I'm sure many of us would appreciate a tag management/library system. Thank you.

emmmh...definitely!! I didn't expect not to be able to see the tags from the view menu. Really? (italian hands gesture). Why the option to add the tag column to the view then??
or Am I doing something wrong?? ðŸ˜•

Hi all, thank you for flagging this with us.

May I ask what browser you're all using and if this persists after clearing your browser's cache or other browsers, preferably with no extensions or plugins running?

Also, if you've reached out to our support team about this, please make sure to include your ticket ID in your response.

Thanks so much!

Hello Walter,
I use Google chrome.
I have cleared the cache and still don't see the tags in the menu view. By "no extensions running", I don't know how to be sure that this is or not happening when I'm changing the tags or adding the view to the menu. I have a few extensions stalled in Chrome, some of them from my antivirus, ads controlling, tab management, etc...
