Its been clear for a while dropbox implement things that their user base doesnt want and just flat out refuse to provide basic functions for everyday tasks. If anyone has a better system let me know.
Yes same as others , we need to be able to easily view by comment or star status .
(and then be able to select & move to a new folder for the next part of workflow)
Also being able to export out all the text files of the notifications is needed.
Then I can have a list of all comments and file number to work from.
This is key for Photographers and designers that use DB to share images and designs with clients .. and a lot us use it this way.
Can we not at least have a button in notifications that will allow us to export all notifications (or date sensitive) as one text file? Surely that will be easy .
- having to manually go through each image to see if there are comments takes hours and hours (and on an iPad it doesn't show comments at first view status)
I have a couple of folders of 2000 images which a client has selected and commented (for retouching) on over 500 images.
Bump. Would like to see this implemented ASAP. Organizing large volumes of media for video production in a group is tedious without some way to easily reference/print/view the comments of all files, or selected files, in a folder.
It is incredibly time-consuming to open each individual file to view comments. Plus, comments do not rapidly load on both desktop and mobile. It is also frustrating that on mobile, the comment section closes each time you switch files. This impedes my ability to work quickly. Comments should be viewable as a group. It would help if there could be an option to view a page that has a column of thumbnails with the comments next to the thumbnails, so you can still see the preview of the file.
Funny that Dropbox sent me a survey after I recently shared a folder of pics with a client and ran into this exact issue.
It makes me wonder if anyone in the community has found a better cloud storage alternative that has this type of feature? Because if so, my loyalty to the Dropbox product-line is waning, esp with the additional lack of functionality in the Hellosign integration. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.
