dear dropbox team,

this has been suggested 2021 already but finally i also stepped over this issue as it would

enhance the workflow tremendously

synchronisation between desktops of 2 macs (office macmini - on the road macbook pro)

icloud offers this but i favour dropbox as it works flawlessy since years

thank you

best

Hi @Faellen22, welcome to our Community!

Can you give me some additional info, as to what you're referring to? Would you wish to sync the actual desktop of each device to Dropbox, or are you referring to the content between two devices?

Let me know more!

dear megan,

yes i would like to sync the desktop as this is the place where docs and infos accumulate permanentely and quite a lot of files in the course of a day - as far as i know the desktop folder is hidden within mac osx and not part of the dropbox sync - so when eg. i copied an important file to my desktop on one machine i won´t find it on the other - so swapping between computers and would be much easier when desktops would be synched aswell and ideally even with their layout intact so that each file and folder stays in its place thank you you for your advice best philipp

Hi @Faellen22, thanks for the added info!

Based on what you described, it sounds like our Computer backup feature would work for you. Have you taken a look into it?
