Hi - I'm trying to send an automation through my CRM (active campaign) with a downloadable file (google doc) hosted in Dropbox. When I select dropbox from the 'personalize' menu on Active Campaign, my google doc is greyed out and I cannot 'choose' it. Why is this? See attached screenshot. How can I make it available so I can select it?
Hey @s1234, thanks for checking in with us!
Hmm. Have you tried downloading the file in question to another location locally on your device and uploading it to the platform in question from there?
You could also try another browser or an incognito window - maybe that will do the trick.
Let me know how it goes!

Hey Lusil - yes I've tried but didn't work.
Thanks for confirming that for me, @s1234.
Since you're not able to attach the file even when it's outside of the app, I'd recommend contacting them as they may have more info on this.
Let me know of any updates or if you have any other questions!

Hi - I already did and they didn't have a solution, they said: 'It looks like the document is saved as a gdoc; this file type is stored in Google drive which can cause some issues when the document is then hosted by Dropbox. Can you please try to save the document as a PDF or a different file type? ' I don't want to save it as a PDF...
Thanks for letting me know, @s1234.
Since you don't want to make the file into a .pdf, could you try making a copy of it instead, to see if you're able to attach the file?
Keep me posted!

I already tried a new file didn't work it did the same thing
Apologies for the misunderstanding, @s1234 - I meant to create a copy of the file and convert the copy into a .pdf.
That way, you keep the original file in the format and file type it is, but you're also able to add it to the website in question.
If you're not able to do this, I'm afraid there's not much more I can suggest as this seems to be a behavior in regards to the platform you're trying to upload the files to.
If there's anything else I can help with or you have any other questions though, just give me a shout.
