In that case, could you perhaps try a clean, advanced re-install @grenegenes

Thanks for reaching out to us here @grenegenes!

 

Since you mentioned this occurred after updating your antivirus software, can you let me know if temporarily disabling the antivirus allows the Dropbox app to startup?

 

Also, out of curiosity, which antivirus software are you using?

Hi there!

I'm using Bitdefender and after disabling the software, Dropbox still won't run. Same error msg

Yes, after trying all the troubleshooting suggestions on the website I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it's working now.
