Hi all
I've just had to do a reinstall of windows 7 on an old laptop we use and have come up against a problem that I can't get past. If i download the latest version of dropbox , once I press run on the second box ( user control box ) nothing happens and it doesn't go any further. However if I download an earlier version 89.4.278 it runs through fine until I get to the login page , when press the enter button I get a pop up that says - I'm using an old version and to update to the latest version - and I can't get passed this.
My dropbox account is fine on our windows 10 PC and on my iphone but I can only use it on my windows 7 laptop through a broswer not the desktop.
Can anyone help please ?
Thanks adpal
Jay

Hi
Yes I was actually using a new ssd when I started ( this was to replace the old 'slow' hard drive )but it was a fresh install. The only other things on it are avast , malwarebytes , picasa3 , and open office. I did try with the anti virus and malware turned off as well as on with no joy.
Thanks
Jay
