Android, Dropbox and Photo Saving - is it automatic?

Android, Dropbox and Photo Saving - is it automatic?

I have dropbox configured to copy my photos as I take them.  do I need to "turn on" dropbox for the images to be copied or does it happen automatically?  (like is there a background agent listening even if dropbox isn't open, like google photos)

Hey there @Ed T.2; thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday!

From what I gather, you must be referring to the automatic camera uploads feature; correct me if I'm wrong here Ed.

If that's the case indeed, as per the relevant documentation, background uploading allows Dropbox to upload photos even when the Dropbox app is closed. It automatically uploads your photos whenever it detects a change in your device’s location.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any follow up questions.
