Android Dropbox v170 crashes directly on startup

Until the latest downgrade Dropbox was working fine. Now, with v170 it crashes immediately after it's launched and the OS.

Here's what I tired aleady to no avail:
- Purging the app cache didn't help.
- Reinstalling the app didn't help.
- Old APK 168.2.2 didn't complete install.
- Old APK 166.2.4 installed but crashed after startup like the latest.

Phone: moto g7 power
Android: 9
Dropbox app version: 170.2.8 (latest as of Dec 2019)

Any tips from more knowledgable Dropboxers is highly appreciated.
