The issue started like 2 months ago, I am unable to download any files from Dropbox web client, when I try to I get the following error message: "There was an error downloading your file."
I tried different browsers, computers in different places, home, work, pulic networks in cafe's, I always get the same error message.

By using incognito mode you've eliminated any errors/issues with Dropbox. So the issue actually is with your configuration/browser. All incognito is is your browser minus all add-ons/cookies and temp files etc.
Have you tried clearing the cache etc.?

I use a Mac and was getting an error trying to upload files using Safari tonight.
Tried Firefox instead and it's working now.
I had the same problem with another upload site (and they mentioned it was a Mac thing) only Firefox works. Not sure what's the deal but it's fine now.
