Can't open msg files from iPhone

.msg documents can not be read via Dropbox from Iphone,. If I send the .msg document by email, my iphone can read it. Dropbox should be able to recognize the .msg files and redirect them to the Mail application.

Someone knows an Apps cant read .msg?

Hey there @roba1702, how are you today?

From what I understand you're having an issue with (pre)viewing your .msg files on your iPhone and through our mobile app as we don't actually support this type of files

Could you post a screenshot of the problem as well just to make sure we're on the same page and investigate further?

Thanks!

Thanks for the screenshot @roba1702  - much appreciated!

As this is not a file type we currently support for previewing I wanted to thank you for reaching out to us with this feature request; the ability to preview .msg files through our mobile app that is

As we're always looking for ways to make the Dropbox experience better, I will make sure to pass your feedback along to our dev team.

If there's anything else I can help with in the meantime, please let me know.

Dropbox doesn't discuss ETAs or even what features they may be working on. I'd suggest you post a request, or look for an existing one, in the Share an idea section of the forums.

How can this very simple and needed functionality, not be solved by now.

There are plenty of apps in the App Store that are capable of opening .msg files. Install one, then you can open those files from Dropbox. You simply can't preview them in the Dropbox app, and that is not likely to change. Dropbox isn't capable of viewing every file format that exists (nor should it be).
