There's no way to disable that particular notification.

Thank you for the link. I don't ever remember checking the box for the beta program. Once I unchecked it from settings and installed the latest version, the notifications stopped.

Hi Buzzman, thanks for bringing your question to the Community & welcome aboard!
 
Were you able to have a look at the thread that Rich linked above? Just to summarize on the resolution that it provides, please make sure that you have the latest stable version installed (46.4.65). 
 
Please remember that a beta version can be recognized by a xx.3.xx, instead of the xx.4.xx. If you are on a beta build, it means that you have opted in to Early Releases in your online account settings. I would thus kindly suggest that you turn this off, and install our stable build. 
 
Keep us updated on the procedure & let us know if you are still encountering this behavior. Have a wonderful day in the mean time!
