Cannot share/save any Apple Pages, Numbers or Keynote file to Dropbox

Cannot share any Apple Pages, Numbers or Keynote file to Dropbox from my iPad/iPhone using any in-app method. Dropbox responds with

" An unknown error occurred. Sorry, an error occurred. Please try again later."

Using iOS 11.2.6 on Both devices and 84.2 update on Dropbox. Everything was fine until the recent update, then I updated and received the above message. I was able to save my documents on my not updated to new update of Dropbox on another iPad, until I mistakenly hit update all. Then I got the above error on that iPad too. Like another question stated......

“I'm not going to list all of the steps I've tried; no method of trying to save a Pages, Numbers or Keynote file to Dropbox from the respective app works, nor does it work from the Apple Files app. I always get the same error message.

I can save files to Dropbox from other types of apps (PDFs, for example). And I can also open a Pages, Numbers or Keynote file from Dropbox into the respective app.

I've also deleted and reinstalled the app.”

I’ve sent an email and review to Dropbox with no response.

Thanks

Hey @smwolz, welcome to our community!

I’ve seen a couple of these cases recently, and I’ve consulted with our specialists on this issue. It seems that the developers of the 3rd-party app you’re using have not updated their Dropbox’s API to the latest version. In other words, they haven’t updated their app to play nice with ours.

I suggest that you contact their support team to let them know about this, and to see if there are any workarounds that they can suggest in the meantime.

Also, if you have a ticket number from our support system, let me know, and I’ll be happy to track it down for you.

Have a great weekend

Thanks for the response and info. Good to know. I figured it was something like this, this happened a few years ago too.
