Cannot upgrade from Version 2.10.52 to Version 3.0.4 on Windows 2008 R2 OS

Hi, I keep trying to upgrade my Version of Dropbox to the latest 3.0.4 version but I have no luck.. Below is from viewer error message..
Please help..

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Users\crystaladmin\AppData\Roaming\Dropbox\bin\DropboxExt64.24.dll".Error in manifest or policy file "C:\Users\crystaladmin\AppData\Roaming\Dropbox\bin\Microsoft.VC90.CRT\Microsoft.VC90.CRT.MANIFEST" on line 4. can you use 'run as administrator' on the installer?

I already tried running as Administrator both offline installer and installer but still no luck.

It might be helpful to give Dropbox a call. I see that you have Dropbox for Business. See the administrator of your Dropbox account, there should be a phone # to call.

So, I have this problem as well, and would dearly love to hear if you found a solution...

I suspect that Dropbox is forcing us to move away from Windows 2000 to continue usage. I personally would like to keep Win2K in my ecosystem here at home. This came up last year and someone here helped me / us through this but I can't find the post here. 

None the less I suspect that its now a moot point as for whatever reason Dropbox seems to have dropped Win2K off.

I hope there is a workaround because I do not wish to cease using my Win2K box just yet.

Hopefully we will hear something
