Desktop app is not working - says it's "waiting to be linked to a Dropbox account"

I recently noticed that my Dropbox icon on the desktop was greyed out.  When I looked in the preferences, it says that no account was linked to my computer.  Yet, in setting, it shows my computer IS connected to my account.  I reinstalled Dropbox and the icon is still grey and when I click on it it says "waiting to be connected to a Dropbox account."  But my computer IS shown as being connected.  So confused.

Hey there @Rcarter555 - sorry to hear that!

In this case, as this shouldn't be happening, could you please try a clean, advanced re-install and let me know if you still notice this behavior?

If this persists, please send me a screenshot so I can have a visual of this too.

Thanks!
