Desktop not working after installing Dropbox

I have a user who has installed Dropbox on their Macbook (MacOS 11.2.3) and after installing they are no longer able to use the Desktop on their Macbook.

 

Fairly new to Dropbox so unsure what is going on. The user wishes to keep using Dropbox but they want to be able to use the Desktop on their Macbook.

 

Any suggestions?

Hey @ljgnz, I hope you're well! 

It sounds like the user might have enabled the Computer Backup feature. 

Can you check with them, and confirm that's the case?

Hi Lori,

 

Thanks for reaching out!

 

I spoke with the user late yesterday and they have actually now uninstalled Dropbox but they are still experiencing the same issue.

Hey Liam, thanks for all the details.

That's expected.

The user would need to follow the steps shown on the Help Center article I provided on my previous post, in order to disable the feature.

Keep in mind that they'd need to have the app installed, in order for them to do so.
