I have a new laptop on which I had never used Dropbox, so I installed as prompted. Tragically, I inadvertently allowed it to backup my entire computer!!! Woe is me!!! I tried to follow directions and thought I had unlinked all files from Dropbox and asked that they be removed from Dropbox only. This didn't happen. and now I notice one of my most important files is no longer available on my laptop without accessing Dropbox!!! HELP!!!!!! I need to restore my files to my laptop and remove any automatic link to Dropbox! Isn't there any way to speak to someone from Dropbox!!! What a mess!!!!
Hi @Fivestar5; welcome to our Community!
It sounds like you've enabled the computer backup feature and you'd like to disable it now.
Can you please take a look at our dedicated Help Center article and let me know if still have issues with this?
Thanks!
