I just installed Fedora 34 which runs the GNOME 40 desktop.
I installed the RPM version of Dropbox.
When I click on the Dropbox icon in the application overview, nothing happen.
How can I run Dropbox on my system?

Hello @Hannah,
thanks for answering.
I was able to make Dropbox work, but in order to display the icon in the task bar, you need the TopIconsFix extension:
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1674/topiconsfix/
The extensions is a compatibility layer for "legacy" taskbar icons.
In the system requirement you say that:
> (may need the TopIcons extension to get the tray icon)
The TopIcons extension should be [this one](https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/495/topicons/).
Howerver this extensions is not compatible with GNOME 40.
Best regards

I have the same issue Dropbox on Fedora 34 / GNOME 40 but I'm lost when it comes to installing the GNOME extensions as this is a brand new install of Fedora. What do I need to do to get this going? I can see there is a dropbox process on the machine just can't see the client
Thanks to @tryit for the fix.
For me, I have Fedora 35 and GNOME 40. Installing the extension:
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1674/topiconsfix/
Fixed the issue.
However, I am disappointed that Dropbox has not made a better effort in keeping up with newer desktops in Linux.
