Does uninstalling the desktop app remove my files?

Im trying to uninstall the dropbox app from my mac. If I do this and also delete the folder, will I delete anything in my account online? I also noticed I have my dropbox files in my recent folder. Will those get deleted along with the uninstallation and will they still stay in my dropbox online?

Hey @RachelSh22, thanks for posting your question here. 

Uninstalling the desktop app doesn't affect the files on your hard drive, as the Dropbox folder continues to exist on your computer. 

The only difference is that they stop syncing to your account online. 

That means that any changes you make to the files in that Dropbox folder won't be reflected online, and vice versa.
