Hi,
I recently install Windows 10 x64bit (Build 10240) at my Laptop HP 840 G1. When trying to run Dropbox 76.4.126 Offline Installer at my systems to install. It runs for a while and then after some time give "The installer encounter error 2." error message and stop to install.

Kindly help for the resolution.

I tried https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/desktop/install-failed but no success.

Note below message under C:\%userfolder%\AppData\Local\Dropbox\dropbox.exe.log

Hi,

Thanks for reply. My issue resolve by setting up eviornment variable. IN my path variable enviornment were define with % values. Which i believe somehow not working with Dropbox installer.

Therefore set them manually by following the steps in below link

https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000549.htm

Since you mention that you’ve encountered an error 2 when attempting to install the desktop app, could you also please have a look at this article post which lists some steps to troubleshoot this?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I followed below articles and cleaned whatever can be done at my systems. After that restart the systems and try re-installing dropbox again. Unfortunately, no success and got same error message.

We have a brand new SurfacePro 6 and cannot get any version of Dropbox for Desktop to install. Please help.
