Dropbox Connected to PC

Dropbox Connected to PC

When I signed up, I didn't realize it would automatically link it to my files on my PC. Now, I need to free up space but if I delete something on Dropbox it deletes on my PC. Is there a way to undo this? This is messing everything up for me right now on my PC and Dropbox.

Hello there @reklismarketing20, thanks for dropping by.

If you've accidentally deleted some files from your Dropbox folder, you can try restoring them by following these steps

Once the desktop app syncs the changes, you can turn computer backup off and move the contents back to their original locations.

Let me know if you have any trouble along the way, cheers!

Drop Box Has Ruined My Computer and Files

Since I have uploaded Dropbox to my computer, it is extremely slow. I don't want Dropbox anymore on my computer but if I delete it, then I will lose everything on my computer. Is there a simple solution? This is impacting my jobs.

Thanks!

Katelyn

Hi Katelyn; happy Monday!

I merged your new query under your OP as they seem to be related.

If you've followed the steps that @Lusil offered already, uninstalling the desktop app from your computer shouldn't affect your files somehow.

For more information, please take a look at the following Help Center article:

Let us know if you have any follow up questions @reklismarketing20.
