Dropbox Finder Integration Big Sur 11.1

Dropbox Finder Integration Big Sur 11.1

Seems after my update to OSX Big Sur 11.1 that the finder integration exists for a little while and then all right clock menu options and icons for local/offline files disappear. Has anyone found a solution to this? Or know if it will be in a Dropbox update?

Hi @dhoptech, thanks for posting today!

Do you have any other apps on your device that could use overlay or syncing icons?

Could you try these steps to see if they help on your device?

If you need any further assistance, please let me know!

Ok so I tried everything. Nothing else worked. I don't have any other apps that use overlays.

Signing out and signing back in seems to have fixed it. However upon signing out it wiped my desktop files. I'm waiting for it to fully update. I'm not excatly happy about losing the files that were on my desktop. I needed those.

Ok... so it's fully sync'ed and I lost ALL the files the had been on my desktop.

If the files are missing on your desktop, is it possible you enabled the computer backup feature?

Could you try disabling it and moving the files back to their default locations to see if this helps?

I did have computer back up enabled. I went and found them. However this has to be a bug that can be removed. If I sign out of Dropbox it should NOT wipe my desktop!

Signing out of your Dropbox account shouldn't delete your local Dropbox folder.

It should still be visible in your folder structure on your machine, generally in the user or home folder where it's originally saved.

Well a week later the overlay and right-click menus are gone again.

Any DB update to fix this issue?

Can you let me know what the app's sync status is showing at the moment, when you click the Dropbox icon in your menu bar @dhoptech?

Also, what's the version of the app you have installed?
