Dropbox Mac OS App behavior when it sees a new disk

Dropbox Mac OS App behavior when it sees a new disk

Helpful | Level 5

Recently one of the automatic upgrades to my Dropbox Mac OS App caused a behavior change which is most unpleasant.

Whenever I connect a new disk (thumb drive, external HD, etc.) to my computer, Dropbox always asks me if I want to back it up with Dropbox.

This is the default behaivior, and there doesn't seem to be any way to turn this "feature" off in preferences.

I will never want to automatically add a whole disk to my Dropbox, so how do I turn this annoying and potentially security ridden problem off?

Dropboxer

Hi @_-GT-_, I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this!

Just to make sure we're on the same page, can you send me a screenshot of the prompt you're getting?

Is the prompt regarding camera uploads, for uploading photos from the drive/device?

Let me know and we can go from there - thanks!
